Who we are and what we do.
We’re creating a local, regenerative food system in South Australia.
It all began in 2016, with the groundbreaking Edible Adelaide event. Dozens of bright local and international minds came together to find new and creative ways to transform South Australia’s urban landscapes into productive areas.
The goal: increased access to fresh, locally grown food, so everyone in our state can enjoy the benefits of healthy eating while helping to protect our precious land, water and soil.
The SA Urban Food Network is a shared community vision for a regenerative local food system. (Not sure what ‘regenerative’ means? Watch this insightful TEDx Canberra Talk by farmer and author Charles Massy.)
We are also proud members of Sustain: The Australian Food Network. and thank them for leading the way across Australia and supporting local SA events and initiatives.
We’re here to inspire connections and knowledge.
If you’re keen to be part of a movement that builds skills and initiatives for the health of our land and communities, the SA Urban Food Network is for you – we aim to act as that critical conduit and connector.
By joining our network, you’ll receive a free Adelaide Plains planting guide, our e-news, as well as first-look access to events and opportunities in South Australia.
Best of all, you’ll get access to our team of Connectors. These knowledgeable South Aussies kindly volunteer their time to ensure our members have the most up-to-date information, resources and connections available across our state.
